The questions people actually ask in the first month, answered from how the product behaves rather than how it was meant to.

Getting in
I have forgotten my password. Ask an admin to reset it in People. Deskly cannot email you a reset link yet, so this is the only route.
Someone new is joining. An admin adds them in People and hands over the temporary password. There is no public sign-up link into an existing office, on purpose.
The office will not load past "Reconnecting". You are signed in but not on a floor. Ask an admin to check you are a member of a team under Teams.
Sound and video
I cannot hear anyone on the open floor. That is correct. The open floor carries no audio. Walk into a meeting room, focus room, lounge or classroom.
My microphone is blocked. The browser asks once. If you refused, the block is remembered by the browser and Deskly cannot undo it - allow the microphone for the site in your browser's settings and reload.
The connection is poor. Lite mode drops the cameras and keeps the voice, which is almost always the right trade.
Screen sharing
The Share screen button does nothing. Sharing belongs to a room. Step into a meeting room, focus room, lounge or classroom first - on the open floor there is nobody to share with.
I picked a window and the others see black. Some apps protect their windows from capture. Share the whole screen, or a browser tab, instead.
My browser never asked what to share. Screen recording permission is switched off for the browser at the operating-system level. On macOS it is under Privacy & Security, Screen Recording; allow the browser, then restart it.
The shared screen is blurry on a slow line. Lite mode keeps the shared screen and drops the cameras, so the screen gets the bandwidth.
Performance
The office feels slow or the fan spins up. Close other tabs running video calls, and turn on Lite mode - cameras are the heaviest thing on the page.
Audio breaks up. Usually the network rather than the computer. Move closer to the router or use a cable; Deskly offers Lite mode by itself when it sees the connection struggling.
Everything is stuck on "Reconnecting". Reload the page once. If it persists, report it with the page details ticked - they tell support which browser and which floor you were on.
Presence and time
Why did I go Away? Your screen locked, or the operating system reported real idle. It is not a mouse-move timer, and the server decides it - which is what makes the hours worth reading.
My laptop and my phone both show me. They do not. Signals merge to whichever device you are actually at; you are one person on the floor.
The hours look lower than my day. Idle, away and offline never count. A browser left open in an empty room is not work.
Tasks and trackers
The task picker is empty. Either no tracker is connected, or your account has not been matched to a tracker account. An admin does that under "Who is who" in Integrations.
A card has no state dropdown. The board has not yet learned that project's states. It refreshes itself within ten minutes of the first task existing.
Filing a note failed. The message says why: not connected, no project named, a read-only token, or the tracker refusing. The words stay on the board either way - you never lose the note.
A hand-over was refused. Azure DevOps did not recognise that person. Nothing was half-written; the work item is exactly as it was.
Billing
What happens at the end of the free plan? Nothing is deleted. You keep five seats and seven days of history until you upgrade.
Can we self-host? Yes, on Enterprise, with a signed licence. Your hours and recordings stay on your own disk.
Can I see what we are being charged for? Billing shows your plan, seats used and current period.
